The Basics
Located in Philadelphia, SoarCorp is an outpatient substance abuse treatment facility that specializes in opiate addiction. Through the combination of medication such as methadone and talk therapy, clients can safely withdraw from opiates. Both short- and long-term treatment options are available, allowing clients to choose what kind of program they would like.
Treatment and Staff
Clients have two different treatment options—Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and outpatient. Both programs combine methadone management and talk therapy to help clients with opiate addiction. The length of time spent in each program depends on the individual’s needs.
The intensive outpatient program meets three times a week, for three-hour sessions. Clients meet with a doctor for the appropriate methadone dosing. In addition, they can see a psychiatrist for dual diagnosis support when necessary. This program also offers group and individual therapy. Group topics include coping skills, introduction to the 12 steps, trauma, parenting, mental health, gender-specific issues, relapse prevention and stress management. Individual therapy occurs once a week, monitoring the client’s progress.
The outpatient program takes place once a week, for three hour sessions. This option is similar to IOP, allowing the clients to receive medication management and therapy. Clients can choose to stay in the program for a short period of time (detox) or long term (methadone maintenance).
The staff includes Master’s-level clinical supervisors, doctors, nurses, CADCs and psychiatrists.
Extras
SoarCorp believes it is important for family members to be included in the treatment process whenever possible and offers family counseling. Help is also available for those with gambling programs.
Educational services on topics such as relapse prevention, STDs, HIV and hepatitis C are available.

SoarCorp specializes in helping clients free themselves of opiate addictions. While some facilities use medication as the only way to eliminate substances, this program compliments it with therapy. Through this combination, clients can obtain both physical and emotional wellness.
