Zukoski Center is an outpatient program offered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Center (ADATC) in Birmingham, Alabama. Although strictly outpatient, Zukoski offers an impressive variety of treatment options and services to clients in need of a less intensive substance abuse treatment program.
Treatment and Staff
Zukozki has both Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and a traditional outpatient programs. IOP day sessions are offered three times a week from 9 am to 12 pm and night sessions (also available three times a week) from 6 pm to 9 pm. Traditional outpatient meets once a week for three hours.
Both programs begin with an assessment to develop an individualized treatment plan that determines the frequency and types of treatments most beneficial to the client. Treatment is a combination of individual therapy, group therapy, educational lectures and discussions, stress management and relapse prevention. All treatment plans include 12-step groups and all therapies use CBT.
In addition to the outpatient programs, Zukoski offers a variety of services to the Birmingham community including mental health evaluations, referrals and crisis interventions for domestic and sexual abuse. Community outreach programs such as sexual health counseling and educational seminars on addiction and chemical dependency are also offered.
Zukoski Center is a basic outpatient rehab with individual and group counseling services. Using the 12-steps and CBT, clients receive a well-rounded and thorough course of treatment. Zukoski aims to treat the individual as a whole and help them reach their recovery goals.
