Waynesboro North CarolinaThe Basics

Since 1979, Waynesboro Family Clinic (WFC) has been providing comprehensive, private, community mental health services for families in the Goldsboro, North Carolina area. Services are available to adults, children and adolescents.

Of their many services, WFC offers an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) treatment program called Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP). While this track utilizes WFCs preferred theoretical orientation—CBT within the family context, the facility is willing to use whatever treatment modality is deemed necessary for a successful recovery experience for clients and their families. WFC is open Monday through Saturday and is the only crisis center in the area. Because of this, a wide range of mental health services are available.

The Basics

Waynesboro’s SAIOP is an individualized treatment track that typically lasts about 30 days. Using CBT, individual, group and family therapy, education and dual diagnosis support, clients work towards recovery with evidence based methods. While detox is not available onsite, WFC staff help clients determine whether detox is needed and provide referrals as-needed.

SAIOP is scheduled three times a week—Mondays and Wednesday nights and Friday afternoons. Medication management is available to those who need it.

WFC staff consists of eight psychiatrists and 20 therapists. All staff members are state-licensed, Christian-oriented mental health practitioners from all disciplines, including psychiatrists, psychologists, CSWs, mental health counselors, MFTs and Substance Abuse Counselors (SACs)—many of whom specialize in specific mental health disciplines like PTSD.

Extras

WFC offers help for anyone in crisis, even those who cannot leave their homes. House calls are made by the doctors and therapists of clients who have schizophrenia or any number of conditions making it hard for them to be out in public.

WFC also offers a community support team who helps clients with life skills like finding housing and managing money. Transportation services are available as is aftercare after treatment is completed. Clients are advised to check in with their therapist once a week or as needed.

Marriage therapy, DWI services, Community Support Services, In-Home Family Preservation services, eating disorder therapy, military adjustment therapy, child and adolescent day treatment and ADHD/ADD evaluations are available as well.

In Summary

WFC is a Christian-oriented mental health and crisis management facility that offers IOP to adolescents and adults suffering from substance abuse in the Goldsboro, North Carolina area. While there are no sliding scale payment plans, there are plenty of state-funded options based on income that ensure any client needing help can receive it, regardless of their ability to pay. Private insurance and cash are also accepted.
