The Basics
Based out of Huntington Beach, California, Wavelengths Recovery is a multi-faceted luxury treatment organization geared toward men and women struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. The facility is accredited through the Joint Commission and provides short-term residential treatment and detox in addition to outpatient and sober living services.
Accommodations and Food
Though Wavelengths operates many facilities throughout the Huntington Beach area, there is one specific location for clients in detox with six beds available in semi-private rooms shared between two to three residents. The house comes with plush and modern decor, full beds, dressers and shared closet space. In addition to the bedrooms, the home also includes shared common areas with cable TV, an attached patio with seaside views, therapy areas and a fully-equipped kitchen. Throughout their stay, clients are served three meals a day with a focus on nutrition and overall health.
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning treatment, residents go through an initial intake and assessment process to help staff members develop their individualized treatment plans. While the specifics may vary, each client goes through a daily regimen of individual and group therapy utilizing evidence-based practices, primarily CBT. Other than clinical sessions which include dual diagnosis support and medication management, groups also cover holistic topics including yoga, meditation and martial arts. Treatment also requires clients to attend regular 12-step meetings. The length of stay can last anywhere from a week to several weeks before clients transition into one of the organization’s other treatment tracks. In addition to the detox and residential treatment program, the organization also provides extensive outpatient care in Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) intensities, with sober living facilities available as well.
The staff at Wavelengths Recovery consists of LMFTs, psychiatrists, CADCs and additional Master’s-level clinicians.

As an added bonus, Wavelengths also has a juicing program wherein a juicing specialist creates healthy juices to supplement the clients’ diets.
