The Basics
Located in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, Wasatch Recovery Treatment Center is a multi-faceted behavioral health facility offering drug and alcohol treatment programs for clients struggling with addiction. All programs offered are individualized to suit the individual’s needs and include therapy focusing on mind, body and spirit. In addition to its inpatient treatment programs, the facility also offers flexible day treatment and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) as well.
Treatment and Staff
Though all programs are different, each begins with an individualized assessment process to help the staff determine the client’s needs. While on-site detox services are not available, referrals can be made upon request. Once the program begins, participants can expect to attend regular group and individual therapy with evidence-based practices including CBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET). In addition to the counseling, dual diagnosis including medication management is also available along with regular 12-step meetings. Those who don’t want to work a 12-step program can also attend Rational Recovery meetings as an alternative form of peer support. Groups cover a wide range of recovery related topics including trigger identification, emotional processing, relapse prevention, life skills and other issues.
The staff at Wasatch Recovery Treatment Center consists of case managers, LPCs, LMHCs, CADCs and additional Master’s-level counselors.
Extras
Other services include rotating experiential therapy groups such as yoga and meditation. Standalone medical assessment services are also available. Finally, those who complete one of the above programs can also work with their case managers to develop stepped down aftercare plans as necessary. As mentioned, clients can also attend more intensive inpatient programs as well.
