Warriors Center Residential Review
Located in Memphis, Tennessee, Warriors Center is a broad organization with a number of programs for men and women in recovery from addiction. Founded in 1999, the facility provides faith-based services in different intensities. Aside from its Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), the organization also offers residential and transitional care for clients seeking longer-term options.
Accommodations and Food
Warriors Center Residential has a total of 65 beds in gender-segregated rooms that are shared with two to three other clients. Accommodations consist of twin beds, dressers and closet space. Overall, the facility is a large compound with all the necessities of home including on-site laundry and a full kitchen. Throughout their stay, all residents are given three meals a day served cafeteria-style.
Treatment and Staff
Before starting treatment, clients undergo an initial intake and assessment so staff can develop an individualized treatment plan. For those seeking a short-term program, the 28-day spiritual boot camp includes individual and group therapy that uses evidence-based practices, such as CBT and Motivational Interviewing (MI), and covers relapse prevention techniques. Residents are also required to attend regular 12-step meetings.
Warriors Center Residential’s year-long treatment option uses the same modalities as mentioned above but clients are also required to work 25 to 35 hours a week and attend life skills and money management classes.
The staff at Warriors Center Residential consists of LADCs, LPCs, spiritual counselors, physical coaches and additional Master’s and PhD-level clinicians.
Extras
Additional services include aftercare groups, which are essentially outpatient treatment at a stepped-down rate. Staff members also help graduating clients with job placement and social re-entry services.
In Summary
Overall, Warriors Center Residential provides faith-based treatment that emphasizes tough love and structure. Its programs offer evidence-based care, 12-step support and spiritual guidance and work within a curriculum that focuses on many aspects of well-being. While those in need of dual diagnosis support may want to seek outside help, Warriors Center Residential remains an affordable treatment option.
