United Recovery Project Review
United Recovery Project offers luxury, private addiction treatment in Hollywood, Florida. It has inpatient and outpatient programming options, along with placement services for clients who need detox or sober living. The team customizes treatment, which includes 12-step and evidence-based practices.
Accommodations and Food
The men and women who are in the residential treatment program live in separate villas in secluded areas in South Florida. Both of the houses have state of the art amenities and elegant decorations. Residents enjoy spacious living quarters, sparkling swimming pools and impeccably manicured grounds.
Clients typically share semi private bedrooms and in some cases have en suite bathrooms, with between six and eight people sharing a house. There are also private bedrooms available at a different price point. There are common areas in both locations that include living rooms complete with TVs, cable and internet, large dining rooms and kitchens with new appliances.
A kitchen staff prepares and services all meals. There is a chef that makes breakfast and dinner in the homes, while residents eat lunch at the off-site treatment facility.
Treatment and Staff
Programing is strength based and individualized. The initial assessment determines what the best protocols would be for treatment and clients are paired with a counselor. The programs run anywhere from 28 to 60 days and focus on relapse prevention and education.
Clients receive treatment on a step-down basis, starting with a full day program that runs five days a week for up to six hours a day. After this stage is complete, clients can move into the sober living stage, which has clients in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), receiving treatment three times a week. These days consist of several group sessions, psychoeducation, life skills training, individual therapy and therapeutic recreation.
Treatment approaches are evidence-based and include CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and holistic methods, such as music and art therapy. Each morning begins with a meditation and clients learn about self care and overall wellness.
The founder of United Recovery Project, Bryan Alzate, leads the staff. He started struggling with addiction at a very young age. After attending treatment and getting sober he wanted to open a facility that could provide quality care. Additional staff include Master’s-level therapists who are CAC and MFT.
Extras
There are fun weekly outings offered to the clients, like bowling, movie nights, fishing trips and hiking. Additionally clients have regular yoga classes, equine therapy, visits to the chiropractor and visit the beach frequently.
In Summary
The United Recovery Project is a luxury treatment facility that offers a full continuum of care and highly trained staff. The team offers the chance for their clients to pick up some valuable life skills and create a solid foundation in recovery. This organization is a solid asset among the southern Florida recovery community.
