Tulasi Health Care Review
With two locations in New Delhi, India, Tulasi Health Care is a broad psychiatric rehabilitation facility with treatment programs available for clients struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. Tulasi offers long-term stays for a complete range of psychiatric conditions, including more severe issues such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. All programs are individualized and include medical and psychotherapeutic support.
Accommodations and Food
Tulasi Health Care’s psychiatric facilities include both individual and shared rooms between two to four residents with twin beds, dressers, attached bathrooms and basic clinical decorations. Private rooms come with more space and larger, queen-sized beds.
In addition to the bedrooms, the organization’s facilities also boast therapy rooms, game rooms with ping-pong tables, WiFi and cable TV. Outdoor activities are also available including open walking paths and a badminton court. Throughout their stay, clients are served three healthy meals a day with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options available.
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning treatment, all clients go through an initial intake and assessment process to help the staff determine their needs. Those in need of detox services can do so on-site before continuing onto therapy. While each program differs, treatment includes individual, group and family therapy with evidence-based treatment practices including CBT and DBT, as well as 12-step recovery principles. As mentioned, dual diagnosis support is readily available along with medication management services whenever necessary. Groups cover many topics including anger and stress management, coping skills and relapse prevention. Treatment plans last between three and six months on average, though the shortest programs available last six weeks.
The staff at Tulasi Health Care consists of doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, certified addiction counselors and additional Master’s-level clinicians.
Extras
Additional services include online counseling for those who can’t attend programs in person. Specialized program tracks are available for those addicted to brown sugar and cough syrup as well as those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. Finally, those who complete primary care can also work with the staff to develop aftercare and discharge plans.
In Summary
Overall, Tulasi Health Care is a well-rounded organization with wide ranging services for clients struggling with behavioral health issues. Program lengths are flexible and treatment plans are individualized with medical and psychiatric support, 12-step integration and evidence-based psychotherapy. Though the specifics of care and the cost may vary on a case-by-case basis, Tulasi Health Care remains a strong resource for those in the area.
