Kennewick WashingtonThe Basics

Tri-Cities Community Health began as a small medical clinic in 1981. Beginning with one facility in Pasco, the organization has since expanded to three facilities in Kennewick and Richland in Washington State. A group of women started TCCH to address the dire need for health care in their community living in poverty and a low-income bracket. Among the many services TCCH provides, Nueva Esperanza Community Counseling Services offers outpatient substance abuse treatment from the Kennewick location.

Treatment and Staff

Nueva Esperanza CCS offers substance abuse treatment for adults and adolescents who would otherwise not be able to afford treatment. In addition to chemical dependency treatment, NECCS works with individuals with co-occurring disorders as well as DUI/DWI offenses.

Before enrolling in the program, clients must be assessed by the treatment staff to ensure NECCS offers the correct level of care. There is no minimum length of time for program enrollment as all programming is tailored and individualized to the client. Each unique plan enables the client and their counselor to dictate and modify treatment goals based on the individual’s progress. Treatment uses evidence-based practices that include CBT and DBT techniques. Clients are also highly encouraged to attend 12-step meetings and peer-support groups through AA/NA communities.

Clients requiring dual diagnosis support may enroll in the mental health program that runs in tandem with the chemical dependency program. A team of Psychiatrists, Nurses and LADCs facilitate medication management and additional tools for dealing with mental disorders.

Extras

The NECCS program is part of a network of behavioral and mental health services that provide a continuum of care with multiple facilities in the Tri-Cities area. Clients with concerns outside of addiction may seek assistance with depression, mood disorders and abuse as well as medical and dental services.

Clients with DUI/DWI convictions may attend psycho-education courses to fulfill court obligations and requirements.

In Summary

Nueva Esperanza Community Counseling Services provides basic outpatient chemical dependency and DUI/DWI treatment for individuals with financial hardship. Tri-Cities Community Health assists families with mental health, medical and social programs that are accessible, affordable and flexible. Clients can adjust their schedules and programs to progress in an organic way towards their recovery goals.
