allentown PennsylvaniaThe Basics

Confront originated as a halfway house back in 1969, founded by a family hoping to address the Allentown, Pennsylvania community’s growing problem with alcoholism and substance abuse. It has since become a member of Treatment Trends rehabilitation network, which offers a large range of services including residential and outpatient treatment for drug and alcohol abuse.

Confront’s mission is to lessen the suffering caused by substance abuse by providing compassionate treatment services—including evaluation, referrals, an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and transitional services to recovering addicts, veterans and their families. Additionally, services can be tailored for sexual abuse survivors and their non-offending parents. Confront provides cutting-edge programming and referral services to treat diverse populations of people from various backgrounds using a holistic approach and evidence-based treatment methods.

Treatment and Staff

Confront offers general outpatient and IOP treatment services to clients who have already completed a residential program (either a Treatment Trends facility or outside the network) or who don’t need more intensive treatment beyond outpatient. Clients attend groups with a diverse range of topics including Psycho-dynamic/Process Therapy, Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), Seeking Safety (for trauma/substance abuse), Addiction Awareness, Conflict Resolution, Criminality, Co-occurring Diagnosis Groups, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, yoga and Expressive Arts.
