Located in North Miami Beach, Florida and Joint Commission accredited, Transitions Recovery Program treats substance abuse, addiction and co-occurring disorders. In addition to its residential program, Transitions has a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and general outpatient services, as well as formalized aftercare on a step-down basis. While the facility utilizes a multi-faceted approach with a number of evidence-based therapies and counseling services, it also incorporates medication management for dual diagnosis clients and AA/NA meetings.
Treatment and Staff
Transitions offers individualized care solutions. Clients entering outpatient care first undergo a comprehensive assessment that helps the team to determine the best possible personalized treatment strategy. The facility’s PHP, IOP and standard outpatient services can be ideal for clients that either cannot commit to residential treatment or for those individuals transitioning out of an inpatient program back into regular life. Individuals are able to receive care while remaining at home and continuing to work. The PHP offers day and night programming options and a structured environment that includes eight hours of therapy a day six days a week. Clients usually then transition into the IOP that includes six weeks of flexible therapeutic scheduling.
Transitions incorporates individual and group sessions, random drug screenings, process groups, relapse prevention, psychoeducation, spiritual therapy, medication management and the 12-step recovery model. Therapeutic methods include CBT, DBT and EMDR. The facility offers skills groups and a focus on spiritual growth and interpersonal development. In addition, clients work hand in hand with case managers to lay out a plan for their future after discharge.
The multi-disciplinary team at Transitions Recovery Program is comprised of addiction specialists, psychiatrists, social workers, therapists, physicians, mental health counselors and a nursing team.

Transitions sees family support and involvement as an integral component to the success of a long-term sustainable recovery.
