The Basics

Once they are accustomed to the process, follow-up TMS sessions last about 40 minutes each for five days a week for between four to six weeks. Still, the specific length of each program may vary by client.
As all the staff consists of psychiatrists including Mendiola himself, dual diagnosis support and medication management services are available as well. While 12-step participation is not strictly required as part of the program, clients may attend meetings in addition to the treatment described above.

Though TMS is most often used for depression and anxiety, the staff at the facility may also use it to treat eating disorders, ADHD and substance abuse as applicable (sometimes along with medication or behavioral therapy). Though the programs described above are fairly intensive and structured, clients can work with staff members once the program ends to develop aftercare plans as well. Finally, Dr. Mendiola is an in-network care provider for many major insurance companies. As such, therapy may be partially or entirely covered by these programs.
