The Basics

Other services include nutritional counseling and a wide range of experiential therapies such as dance, psychodrama, art therapy and mindfulness training. While treatment plans are not necessarily 12-step based, clients are encouraged to attend off-site peer support meetings in addition to therapy. As a guiding philosophy, treatment also follows a trademarked Renfrew Center method which takes clients through four stages of therapy, from stabilization to relapse prevention.
The staff at Renfrew Center consists of RDNs, LMFTs, LPCs, LCSWs, psychologists and additional Master’s-level clinicians.

Renfrew also provides culturally-specific treatment plans for Christian and Jewish clientele. Finally, clients who finish primary care can work with staff members to develop stepped down aftercare through the Renfrew network.
