The Basics
The Recovery Village is drug and alcohol treatment network with multiple locations, and one specifically in Ridgefield, Washington, approximately 45 minutes north of Portland, Oregon. It provides a full continuum of treatment services to adult men and women. In addition to its residential treatment options, the facility also offers Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP).
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning a program, all clients go through an initial intake and assessment process to help staff members develop their treatment plans. While on-site detox services are not available, those in need can get referrals to nearby programs as necessary. PHP is the more intensive of the two options and meets for about 20 hours a week on average; IOP is more flexible and typically meets for nine to 11 hours.
In both of the above, clients attend individual and group therapy with evidence-based practices including CBT, DBT and EMDR. Dual diagnosis support including medication management is also available, as is 12-step support. Though the topics covered in group may vary, some commonly covered concepts include addiction as a disease, life skills, self-esteem, relapse prevention and anger management. PHP clients regularly with a medical and psychiatric staff who surveys their progress.
The comprehensive staff at The Recovery Village boasts a wide range of credentials. The treatment team includes case managers, LPCs, LMHCs, RNs, MDs, psychologists, psychiatrists and additional Master’s and PhD-level clinicians.
Extras
Clinical treatment is also supplemented by a family program and holistic therapies, such as yoga and mindfulness training. As mentioned, more intensive residential programs are also available. Those who complete primary care can also work with staff members to develop discharge and aftercare plans though The Recovery Village network.
