Treatment and Staff
In addition to the inpatient treatment in Egypt and Spain, there are also home detox options in London. The first step is getting an assessment, which also includes a full physical. The home detox has staff in the client’s house around the clock. OAD facilitates detox from opioids, alcohol, stimulants and benzos.
The treatment team places clients who struggle with opioids into a maintenance program. This track can last for several weeks and up to several months. They administer medications like Methadone or Suboxone in daily doses. A counselor regularly monitors this stage. They drug test clients every week. Eventually when the client has clean drug tests for a period of time, he or she begins Naltrexone treatment, which works in conjunction with the relapse prevention program.
Even if a client relapses or is not having success with their current program, The OAD Clinic continues to work with them. They offer them new program options. The client can remain with the facility for as long as he or she needs.
OAD Clinic presents clients with additional detox options. If the client desires a detox that does not use opioid substitution treatment, there are tracks the staff can recommend. In some cases they refer clients to another facility for more intensive treatment.
In addition to the detox and maintenance programs, treatment is also for dual diagnosis clientele.
On-site staff includes a multidisciplinary team. They are doctors, nurses, addiction specialists and psychiatrists. There are also pain specialists on staff.
