Before entering the facility, residents must promise to live by strict guidelines. Every client must attend a weekly spiritual development group session and work with a recovery mentor. The mentor guides residents through their time at the Micah House, and helps to prepare them for life in sobriety. The facility offers a regular Bible study where spiritual principles are used to illustrate healthier and more effective attitudes, habits, parenting and a sense of community. Residents participate in frequent support groups that focus on addiction coping skills.

In addition, Micah House prepares clients with necessary employment skills like computer training and money management as well as personal fulfillment activities like arts and crafts.
