Accommodations and Food

While the length of treatment varies depending on the specific needs of the individual, most clients participating in the residential phase of the program stay between five and seven weeks. Room and board are provided during this phase of care. The Living Solution provides upscale, fully furnished homes with plenty of amenities. The houses come with cable and wireless Internet, a washer and dryer as well as common rooms with comfortable couches and flat screen TVs. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is an outdoor patio area for grilling out and socializing. Both single and double-occupancy rooms are available for clients, and bedrooms come with basic furnishings, fresh linens, funky artwork and plenty of sunlight.
The Living Solution understands the importance of privacy to the success of recovery. To this end, the facility does not allow women on the property, and male visitors are only allowed with written permission. Also, clients are not permitted the use of electronic devices during the first two weeks of their stay. Instead, Living Solution encourages meeting new people and focusing on recovery. In addition, clients must live off of a $100 a week budget that is provided by the facility. The facility performs alcohol and drug testing three times a week.
Residents are responsible for preparing their own food, and the facility encourages social dinners.
Treatment and Staff
The goal of the Living Solution is to provide effective and affordable addiction care that extends from detox to aftercare. Clients entering treatment first undergo a comprehensive intake assessment. This evaluation helps the team to design the most effective treatment plan tailored to meet the specific needs of the individual. Based on the intake, a nurse practitioner determines whether or not medication management is needed. If necessary, clients transition into the detox program. Living Solution provides a medical detox that includes medication to ease withdrawal symptoms and around-the-clock supervision. Upon completion, most clients typically transition into the first phase of treatment, the residential program.
As mentioned before, the residential program typically lasts between five and seven weeks. Living Solution utilizes a broad treatment approach that integrates a number of care methods including evidence-based therapies like CBT and EMDR, holistic models, general wellness activities into a 12-step immersion program. Clients are kept busy with 25 hours of group therapy a week in addition to a weekly one-on-one session as well as a daily 12-step support meeting. In addition, the facility provides life and job skills training towards the end of the residential phase, as clients are expected to find a job by the beginning on the second phase of treatment.
The Living Solution team is comprised of addiction specialists, clinicians, therapists and a nursing team. Medication management is available for clients in need of dual diagnosis support.

Living Solution places a premium on exercise. As such, the facility provides nutritional counseling and daily transportation to a local gym. Residents also enjoy weekend outings to the beach or baseball games.
