The Florida House Detox Review
The Florida House Detox (FHD) provides medically-supervised detox in a secure and discreet high-end facility in Deerfield Beach, Florida, just south of Palm Beach County. FHD and its sister residential and outpatient treatment program, The Florida House Experience, have been in operation for over 14 years. The Florida House Detox is equipped to provide dual diagnosis support to clients as they stabilize and works with each resident to create a treatment plan for the best level of care following their stay.
Accommodations and Food
The newly-renovated facility features a modern décor with plush bedding and private bathrooms with chrome fixtures. Residents have one roommate, and the facility treats a maximum of 20 clients at one time, ensuring each one receives individual attention.
An on-site chef prepares all meals and snacks, according to clients’ dietary restrictions and preferences. While clients are not permitted cell phone and computers while in detox, their rooms have TVs and they can read, play games and socialize in the facility’s lounges or outdoor patios.
Treatment and Staff
Most clients stay in detox five to seven days, though some may extend their time if their health requires more supervision. Once clients are well enough, they’re encouraged to attend twice-daily group therapy that uses CBT and other modalities to help clients develop coping skills for early recovery. Facilitated 12-step meetings are also offered each evening.
The treatment team at FHD includes psychologists and Master’s-level therapists such as LCSWs. Registered nurses and behavioral health technicians supply 24/7 support and a consulting psychiatrist is on-site several times a week for medication management for co-occurring disorders.

Families are encouraged to call in and speak to the treatment team for updates on their loved ones. Many detox clients continue their treatment at the aforementioned Florida House Experience, which offers residential and outpatient treatment and provides a monthly family weekend for emotional support and recovery education.
