The Core Centers is a Fort Lauderdale, Florida detox and outpatient treatment center that provides individualized care for those who need help with chemical dependency and dual diagnosis support. Treatment includes traditional psychotherapy through group and individual sessions, along with some holistic programming options. Clients go through the program on a step-down system that can result in a sober living facility during aftercare.

Treatment and Staff

During the three to 10 day stay in the detox program clients are placed in semi private bedrooms that are gender specific and shared bathrooms within the building. There is a full sized kitchen, flat screen TVs in all the bedrooms that are hooked up to cable as well as mounted TVs in both the living room and game room. The dining room has several tables and large windows that show the waterfront and dock, to which clients have access. There are catered meals that are brought in five days a week from gourmet restaurants. The meals are healthy and well balanced and conducive to healing.

The detox process is medically monitored 24 hours a day in order to ensure the safest and most comfortable experience. The on-site doctors offers state of the art treatment protocols and provide a great deal of privacy and support from beginning to end.

The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is the most intensive, running five days a week and laying the foundation for recovery through several daily group and individual sessions. There are also relapse prevention groups, recreational opportunities and gender-specific process groups. Though The Core Centers treatment is not based on the 12 steps and mainly facilitates evidence-based practices like CBT, it does offer AA meetings every evening for those who would prefer them. Additionally, clients have medication management options during all stages of treatment so as to comfortably manage any discomfort during all stages.

The next step is the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) that runs in the evenings. This track is offered to those who aren’t able to attend an all day program with the PHP but still need intensive support. Clients have a set curriculum of psychoeducation and coping skills and learn more about the impacts of addiction on those around them.

The last step is the standard outpatient track that meets once a week that serves as a maintenance program as well as providing referrals to community services like vocational, housing, educational, or overall health and wellness.

The staff of The Core Centers programs consist of psychiatrists, psychologists, medical doctors, nurses, CADCs and LPCs with specialities in addiction.

Extras

For detox clients there are weekend activities like bowling, movie nights, paddle boarding, and trips to the beach. There is a 30,000 square foot fitness facility clients have access to, in-house yoga classes and massage therapy. Additionally, there is a chiropractor that provides service regularly. Art and music therapy are also facilitated.

The Core Centers has a sober living facility where clients can reside during their outpatient track with transportation to and from treatment daily.

In Summary

The Core Centers provide comfortable accommodations and state of the art treatment methods for detox. It also offers extensive options for outpatient programs for adult men and women. It’s a great resource for the southern Florida recovery community that combines an array of modalities form evidence-based therapy to 12-step and holistic care.
