The Bella Vita is a wide-ranging behavioral health organization with many locations throughout Southern California, all offering flexible treatment to clients struggling with eating disorders and other behavioral health issues. In addition to its various residential and outpatient options, the organization also offers sober living services in Woodland Hills.
Accommodations and Amenities
The facility is a modest home in a discreet neighborhood with six beds available for residents in gender-separate rooms. All clients stay rooms shared between two people with twin beds, end tables with lamps, dressers, wooden floors and closet space. The rest of the home includes shared bathrooms, a formal dining room, on-site laundry, shared living areas with cable TV and WiFi and a spacious backyard. Throughout their stay, all residents are expected to cook and prepare their own meals.
Rules and Regulations
As with most sober livings, all clients are expected to remain sober and obey a basic house behavioral contract. While the facility has a house manager to help residents as necessary, clients are mostly welcome to come and and go as they please. Throughout their stay, residents are expected to remain busy by attending outpatient therapy, getting a job, pursuing more education or volunteering. Though clients must obey a curfew during the week, weekends are more flexible for residents to have visitors and do off-site trips.
Other activities worked in include house trips to 12-step meetings, journaling sessions and house movie nights, grocery shopping and meal preparation. As mentioned, Bella Vita also offers outpatient and residential treatment plans for those in need of more intensive care plans. Clients seeking aftercare arrangements can also work with house managers to get referrals whenever necessary.
Overall, The Bella Vita’s sober living home in Woodland Hills provides a safe and stable environment for adult men and women. Though clients are mostly allowed to run their own lives, the program does offer some basic support services and oversight from house managers for any emergent needs. Though the cost may vary depending on each client’s insurance and income, The Bella Vita’s Woodland Hills facility remains a strong resource for those seeking transitional care.
