Treatment and Staff
Before beginning treatment, clients must first undergo a comprehensive evaluation. It includes a complete medical history and account of substance use. In addition, the medical team evaluates liver function and performs metabolic panel and an EKG.
Tabula Rasa Retreat specializes in a comprehensive medical detox program. The facility utilizes Ibogaine to provide a detox process without painful withdrawal symptoms. The process lasts between 48 and 72 hours. While the total length of care varies from client to client, the facility encourages individuals to stay for a couple of weeks following Ibogaine treatment to see the best results. The minimum stay is one week.
While Ibogaine-assisted care is the cornerstone of treatment, the facility also incorporates a number of supplemental therapies including holistic practices, nutrition and case management services. Perhaps most noteworthy, Tabula Rasa Retreat places a premium on extensive treatment before and after the Ibogaine detox. Following detox, clients participate in nutrition, massage, yoga, mindfulness meditation as well as drum circles. The facility also offers sound therapy, light therapy medicinal cacao and kambo to cleanse the body. Residents also enjoy equine-assisted therapy.
Tabula Rosa Retreat employs a multidisciplinary team comprised of an in-house physician, PhDs, psychiatrists, psychotherapists, cardiologists and counselors. Clients benefit from a one to one ratio of clients to nurses. The entire team is ACLS-certified. As previously mentioned, the facility does provide medication management and medical services for individuals with co-occurring mental illnesses.

Finally, the program offers a continued support plan for any client that has completed the program. This includes free weekly support sessions over Skype.
