The Basics
Susan Rosovsky is a Board Certified Interventionist, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a CADC and certified for court-ordered evaluations. Rosovsky also founded her company Proactive Interventions through which she performs a variety of services including interventions, transportation services, counseling and referrals. Rosovsky’s clientele include individuals and families seeking help for substance abuse addictions as well as behavioral problems and process addictions in the Atlanta and South Florida regions.
The Background
Rosovsky attended North Georgia College and State University and has extensive experience leading interventions for adults, adolescents, seniors, criminal justice clients and clients with co-occurring disorders. She also has relationships with numerous treatment facilities and programs, keeping up to date on the most current treatment methods and their effectiveness. She is also qualified to practice a range of evidence based methods of therapy including Motivational Interviewing (MI) and can treat mental health conditions such as depression, Dissociative Disorders, Impulse control disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders and mood disorders.
The Approach
Once Rosovsky is contacted by the family or loved ones of a potential client, she works with them for the amount of time necessary to prepare them for the intervention process. Rosovsky gathers the information she needs to individualize the intervention process to the specific needs of the client. Rosovsky also offers alternative sentence advocacy for individuals in the legal system.
Depending on the client, Rosovsky determines the most appropriate intervention model. If treatment is deemed necessary once the intervention is completed, Rosovsky offers a number of treatment program referrals, provides safe transport and provides case management as the client progresses in recovery. She also offers ongoing professional consultations for family members and clients throughout the intervention and treatment process.
