Steps Together Rehab Review
Steps Together Rehab is a private detox and residential program in the UK. There are two locations, one in Leicestershire, and the other in Nottinghamshire. Both facilities provide safety and comfort along with a wide range of treatment modalities. Participants can expect 12-step support, recovery planning, relapse prevention and a series of educational workshops. Clients learn how to live a life in recovery through structured, supportive, abstinence based programming.
Accommodations and Food
Both Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire have single and double rooms that have en suite full bathrooms. Leicestershire has 16 rooms and Nottinghamshire has 14 (11 are private). Residents have either a twin or full bed.
Clients enjoy WiFi and communal lounge areas with TV. The bedrooms also have a personal flat screen Smart TVs with cable. The campuses feature landscaped gardens, BBQs and secluded smoking areas.
There is a large dining room at these facilities where clients eat their chef created meals every day. Meals always contact fresh fruits and vegetables. The chef can accommodate special diets. Since overall health and wellness is a main component of treatment, the meals are very healthy and balanced nutritionally.
Treatment and Staff
The programming options at Steps Together typically run from a couple of weeks to a month and a half. Clients rarely experience the same day twice at this facility, as there are so many different group options and activities offered. Seven days a week clients begin their treatment days at 9 am and finish around 7 pm. The days are filled with group therapy, meetings, presentations, going to the gym, recovery planning, written assignments and more.
Clients begin to unpack experiences that may have left them traumatized and work on stress management. Steps Together also offers a number of holistic treatments, like acu-detox and meditation.
There are regular AA meetings on site that include written assignments, reflection group, SMART Recovery groups, and gratitude groups. Treatment approaches include CBT, DBT and Motivational Interviewing (MI). There are also expressive methods, like music therapy, used during individual and group therapy sessions.
Staff consists of a lead therapists, several support workers, nurses including a psychiatric nurse, chefs and housekeepers.
