Laundry facilities are on site.
The facility is near several restaurants, shops and grocery stores. During their stay at Stone Residence, clients are expected to get a job, volunteer or enroll in school and the facility is able to provide transportation to these activities and appointments.
The clients apply for food stamps while they are living at Stone Residence and are required to buy their own food and prepare their own meals.
Treatment and Staff
The Stone Residence offers long-term, permanent housing to its residents as long as they abide by the rules and guidelines, which includes participating in treatment and drug testing. There is an initial intake process and the clients get assigned to a caseworker that meets with them weekly to discuss program goals and accomplishments. There are daily AA or NA meetings and several psychoeducation groups a week. Clients also are given a referral to get a psychiatric evaluation and medication management.
Therapy is evidence-based and include CBT, DBT, EMDR and trauma-informed care. There are also relapse prevention and anger management classes in addition to coping and living skills training. The staff is able to aid residents in employee training and placement, as well as connect them to medical and dental services. Specialty groups are offered for clients who have experienced traumatic events, like domestic violence.
There are family counseling options available at the facility. The staff is also able to provide services in a variety of different languages.
