St. Philippine homeThe Basics

The St. Philippine House is part of Queen of Peace Center, a behavioral health care facility in St. Louis, Missouri that offers inpatient treatment, outpatient treatment and transitional housing programs for women and their children. A Christian nonprofit organization, Queen of Peace focuses on gender-specific treatment and structured living for women with substance abuse disorders. There are three homes in their residential program. St. Philippine House, the transitional living home, caters specifically to women and children in need, including pregnant and postpartum women.

Accommodations and Amenities

The sprawling brick St. Philippine House provides 33 beds for women and children, three healthy meals a day and a clean and safe environment. Women and their children are typically housed in their own room and share bathrooms with one other family. There is a computer and TV in each of the rooms as well as a large front yard and backyard.

Rules and Regulations

Drugs and alcohol are strictly forbidden on the property and residents are required to keep their personal and common areas clean. The St. Philippine home is a structured living environment for those committed to recovery who need a safe place after treatment. Many of the residents come directly from other Queen of Peace Center programs. Residents may live in the home for up to two years and are required to participate in the on-site individual therapy, group therapy and a family program, which are all DBT-based in methodology. Dual-diagnosis services are also offered and incorporated into the treatment plan if deemed necessary.

Extras

St. Philippine House also offers women help building employment skills, parenting education classes, childcare and transportation services.

Queen of Peace has a community outreach program that focuses on prevention through education and is offered at community centers and schools in the area.
