The Basics
With locations throughout New Jersey, St. Clare’s Health is a broad behavioral health organization that runs a number of hospitals and medical centers throughout the state. Treatment and Staff
Before beginning a program, all clients go through an initial intake and assessment process to help staff members determine their individual needs and health histories. Because the St. Clare’s location in Boonton is a fully-equipped medical facility, those in need of detox services can do so on-site before continuing on to formal treatment. Though plans may vary somewhat, PHP typically meets Monday through Friday from 8 to 3:30 pm.
While the specifics may vary, each plan includes both individual and group therapy rooted in evidence-based treatment practices including CBT and DBT. Still, specific modalities are determined by practitioner. As mentioned, dual diagnosis support is available including medication management services whenever necessary. Although the program is not explicitly 12-step oriented, those seeking nearby meetings can get referrals as necessary.
The staff at Saint Clare’s consists of doctors, psychiatrists, RNs, LCSWs, CADCs, LMHCs and additional Master’s and PhD-level clinicians.
Extras
For those who complete the PHP, the facility also allows clients to step down the intensity of their treatment into an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) to serve as aftercare. IOP includes the same treatment practices described above but typically meets up to three days a week for three hours per session. Still, this can also be made less intensive as necessary.
