Springboard Recovery Review
Springboard Recovery is a Scottsdale, Arizona based detox and residential treatment facility for adults struggling with a variety of addiction and co-occurring disorders. Programming is 12-step based but also includes holistic and evidence based-treatment approaches. Individual and group therapy are offered throughout the days in treatment with the heart of Springboard’s message being learning how to live in recovery and experience joy every day.
Accommodations and Food
The spacious, two story residential home where clients live is situated in a quiet, tree lined neighborhood in an upscale part of Scottsdale. There are three bedrooms that can accommodate up to three clients per room, each of them furnished with full beds, dressers and desks for each person. The large bathrooms have tubs and showers and separate sinks. The kitchen has new appliances with attached dining room, and a common area living room with a flat screen TV with cable. There is also a house desktop computer that clients have access to. The backyard offers a ping pong table, outdoor dining table and pool.
A healthy, balanced diet is an essential part of treatment at Springboard, so all the meals are prepared by staff who are able to accommodate a variety of different tastes and restrictions, including gluten free, vegetarian and vegan and paleo diets.
Treatment and Staff
Treatment is individualized and allows for clients to have personal time in addition to attending several therapy sessions and classes during the day. Treatment takes place outside of the home in the clinic where there are group and individual sessions, 12-step meetings and holistic treatments.
If a client needs to begin treatment in a detox facility, Springboard sets that up for them and is able to coordinate that process. Once they get into residential programming a structured schedule is implemented from the intake interview that’s tailored to what the person needs treatment wise. Treatment includes CBT, DBT and Motivational Interviewing (MI) along with social and coping skills training. Those with a dual diagnosis are also provided with additional mental health education and support.
The Springboard team is fairly small with about six members to offer guidance to their clients. They include LPC, LAC, MSC, LISAC and LASAC.
Extras
Holistic treatment modalities are folded into everyday programming. Clients have a balance of nutritional needs met, exercise, meditation and spiritual wellness. There are also social elements through treatment that can involve regular recreational outings.
Springboard is able to offer intervention services for family members who are worried about a potential client. There are also aftercare resources whether it’s outpatient programming at Springboard, or referrals to another agency.

Springboard Recovery offers lovely accommodations and plenty of support and structure during treatment. It operates with a holistic mindset so each client is getting what he or she needs as opposed to a one-size-fits-all version of addiction treatment. The staff is knowledgeable and caring and wants their clients to regain their confidence in order to return to their communities empowered.
