Accommodations and Food
The sprawling Spring Gardens Detox facility is set on over four acres of land behind a gate, which ensures safety and privacy. The facility combines clinical functionality with luxury and comfort. With 22 beds, each resident gets a comfortable, private or semi-private room, with men and women in separate wings. To ensure the comfort of the guests, each room has queen beds with pillow top mattresses, an en suite bathroom, flat screen TV, phone, bluetooth headphones and WiFi. The facility also has on-site medical exam rooms, relaxing common areas and tranquil outdoor spaces.
Spring Gardens has culinary staff that works with a nutritionist to ensure that each meal replenishes any vitamin deficiencies during the detox process. Meals and healthy snacks are served family-style and there is even a juice bar for those who like fresh pressed fruit and vegetable juices.
Treatment and Staff
The short-term detox program is completely individualized based on the client, their treatment goals and the types of substances they used. The average stay is seven to 10 days, but it depends on the person. Spring Gardens provides an innovative track specifically designed for clients who want to detox from high doses of methadone, which often lasts for up to 21 days. Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is available for clients experiencing painful physical withdrawal symptoms from opiates or alcohol. For those who choose to go the holistic route, without heavy meds, alternative therapies are offered. Clients have daily physical exams, medication management and therapy. The program also includes daily group therapy and at least three individual sessions per week. Therapy utilizes evidence-based practices, such as CBT and DBT. Dual diagnosis support in the form of psychiatric care and medication management is offered to clients with co-occurring disorders.
The Spring Gardens Detox team is led by Medical Director Dr. Tanveer Chaudry. Dr. Chaudhry is a board certified MD in Psychiatry and Neurology, Addiction Medicine and Integrative and Holistic Medicine. Dr. Chaudhry is also trained in a variety of complementary and alternative healing practices such as nutrition, hypnosis, meditation and shamanism. The Clinical Director is Cat Coppola, a Master’s-level Certified Addiction Professional in the state of Florida who has more than a decade of experience in the treatment industry. The facility is supervised 24 hours a day.
Extras
Clients have an array of holistic treatment options from which to to choose. These include yoga, massage, sauna, meditation and hypnotherapy. New age scientific methods such as amino acid IV infusions, low-dose ketamine therapy and genetic testing are also available.
In lieu of aftercare, Spring Gardens Detox refers clients to local outpatient programs. Spring Gardens Detox also encourages AA/NA meeting attendance outside of treatment.
