Spirit Mountain Recovery is a residential treatment facility for individuals recovering from addiction to drugs or alcohol. As the name implies, it is located in the beautiful and inspiring mountains of Northern Utah.
Accommodations and Food
Accommodations at Spirit Mountain Recovery are luxurious; it’s a house setting with a comfortable rustic feel. The residence is surrounded by hills full of verdant trees and plenty of open landscape. Clients can choose either private or semi-private rooms, all featuring four poster beds and decorated in a cozy cabin style. The common areas at Spirit Mountain are similarly comfy, complete with inlaid stone, overstuffed couches and large windows. The communal spaces are designed to be conducive to reading, journaling or socializing with other residents.
Meals at Spirit Mountain are overseen by a trained nutritionist, and designed with total body healthfulness in mind. Guests are served three delicious meals a day, and vegetarian and kosher diets can be accommodated.
Treatment and Staff
The staff at Spirit Mountain is trained to help clients using a wide range of therapeutic techniques. These include CBT, Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Equine Assisted Therapy. The therapists at Spirit Mountain recognize that issues leading to addiction are often complex, and are well equipped to help treat dual diagnoses.
While the team at Spirit Mountain recognizes the effectiveness of 12-step programming for some individuals, it does not hold 12-step meetings on site or use 12-step techniques to inform its treatment. Generally, the residential treatment program at Spirit Mountain is 30 days long.
Extras
A number of luxurious supplemental therapies are available at Spirit Mountain, including yoga, meditation, massage, outdoor ranch activities, and recreational experiences, which include things like popular movie nights, a great way for clients to connect with others in the recovery community. Residents also have access to chauffeured rides to and from any appointments they may need to keep.
