The Basics
Spectrum Recovery of Toronto, Canada, operates two outpatient facilities that address chemical dependency as well as a variety of other addictions using innovative and holistic therapy methods. Treatment and Staff

There are four different levels of care, ranging between five and ten hours of weekly treatment. The first level, Bronze, is the least intensive and is ideal for clients who have remained sober for a while and are just looking for a maintenance program, while the highest level, Platinum, is 10 hours a week of programming and works best for those who are seeking an alternative to a residential treatment. All of these programs last about four weeks in total.
The programs are individualized and offer comprehensive alternative therapy approaches like hypnotherapy, somatic experiencing and sound and music therapies. There are wellness classes that focus on nutrition and relaxation, and offer massage therapy and acupuncture. Life coaching, relapse prevention and naturopathic medical services, like non-narcotic pain relief are also offered to clients as a way to deal with residual effects of substance abuse. There are both group and individual sessions offered for each of these services.
The staff at Spectrum offers their unique experience working with addiction and providing unconventional treatment methods to their clients. This includes Master’s-level addiction counselors, medical doctors, hypnotherapists, caseworkers and acupuncturists.
Extras
There are personalized programs offered to those who live outside of the Toronto area and sober coaching services. There are also professional intervention services available. Programs also include carfare those struggling with eating disorders, sexual addiction and problem gambling.
In Summary
Spectrum Recovery’s out-of-the-box approach breaks the traditional addiction treatment mold. The unique methods are certainly different than the standard rehab fare and aim to address the need for alternative kinds of treatment. This is a good option for this seeking a holistic option—when it comes to treating people for substance abuse there is more than one way to break an egg.
