Just east of Orlando in Cocoa, Florida, Space Coast Recovery is a non-profit treatment facility. It’s for men and women struggling with alcohol and substance use. Space Coast Recovery has three outpatient locations. They each offer one 90-minute group session a week.
The program integrates evidence-based therapies, problem solving, skills training and 12-step. Clients participate in individual and group therapy rooted in CBT. The facility also teaches relapse prevention techniques and offers psycho-education courses that focus on the disease of addiction. Staff strongly encourage individuals to participate in the local 12-step community. Space Coast Recovery requires clients to maintain employment throughout treatment. Because of this, the facility provides career assistance like resume writing and case management services.
Space Coast Recovery employs a team of therapists and counselors. Dual diagnosis support is available for individuals with co-occurring mental health conditions like depression, anxiety and trauma.
