The Basics
With facilities in Mead, Ardmore, Lawton and Oklahoma City, Southern Oklahoma Treatment Services is a multi-faceted behavioral health organization that provides outpatient counseling to men and women. Treatment plans are individualized and provide support for substance abuse as well as other behavioral health issues.
Treatment and Staff
Before treatment begins, clients go through an initial intake and assessment process to help staff members develop a plan that meets their needs. Though the specifics of track may vary, clients generally attend both individual and group therapy that employs evidence-based practices, such as CBT and DBT. Support for basic co-occurring disorders like anxiety and depression is also available, though clients with more severe mental illness may need to seek outside support. While not always required, 12-step meeting attendance in addition to therapy is strongly encouraged.
The staff at Southern Oklahoma Treatment Services consists of LPNs, LMFTs, psychologists, state-certified drug and alcohol counselors and additional Master’s-level clinicians.
Extras
Additional services include DUI/DWI classes for court-ordered clients and standalone counseling for marital and family issues, anger management and other related topics. Crisis intervention services are provided as necessary. For clients weaning off of opiates, methadone management is also an option.
