The Basics
With facilities throughout Ohio, Southeast Healthcare Services is a multi-faceted organization that provides a range of community-oriented mental health and primary care programs. At its Columbus location, it offers outpatient treatment for addiction to both court-ordered and self-referred clientele.
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning a program, clients undergo an intake and assessment so that an individualized treatment plan may be developed. A variety of outpatient options are available, including treatment for addiction, dual diagnosis and case management. All programs work within the structure of individual and group therapy that uses a range of evidence-based practices. Clients are also required to attend 12-step meetings and learn the principles of AA.
The Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) track for opiate addiction, as well as Naloxone kits, is available to those who qualify.
The staff consists of LPCs, RNs, case managers, LISWs and additional Bachelor’s and Master’s-level counselors.
Extras
Additional services include standalone mental health counseling for adults and adolescents and residential care for clients with severe mental illnesses. The facility also offers tobacco cessation programs, support for HIV positive clients and basic healthcare, including immunizations, screenings and dental care, as well as outreach services for the homeless.
