The Basics

Sober Living in Delray is a transitional living program for men and women. It caters to individuals who have recently entered into recovery and are looking for a structured program and a supportive atmosphere while they transition back into society. Clients follow the 12-step philosophy and adhere to a step-down system while living at the facilities. Sober Living in Delray aims to foster valuable life and coping skills for continued success in sobriety.

Accommodations and Amenities

Residents of Sober Living in Delray stay in two bedroom, two bathroom gender-specific apartments with the maximum per unit being four. The spacious units are fully equipped, furnished and include a large living room with couches, plenty of storage space, a TV with cable and Internet. Each apartment has an eat-in kitchen stocked with all the utensils, a patio and private laundry facilities. Plus the grounds have tons of open space and an area for cooking out and have an overall country club feel.

Rules and Regulations

Upon admission clients have to start attending daily AA or NA meetings and immediately get a sponsor. The curfew requires clients to be back on the premises by 11:30 pm weekdays and 1:30 am weekends. The only exception is for those who are in the first phase of their stay, who need to return by 10:30 every night. Everyone must be out of the common areas by midnight so as to not bother other residents. No members of the opposite sex are allowed in any of the units and no overnight guests are permitted.

Within two weeks of moving in clients have to have a full time job and be prepared to attend a mandatory community house meeting every Monday evening. The staff are all sober themselves and are able to offer experienced support in this way. Some of the clients are concurrently participating in an aftercare outpatient treatment while living at Sober Living in Delray. For clients who don’t have that arrangement, the advisory board is comprised of mental health professionals who can offer referrals for medication management, individual and group therapy and more. All of the 12-step meetings are held off-site, but the facility is close to several meetings within walking distance that the staff can recommend.

Extras

Clients don’t have to worry about paying for electic while living at the facility. Additionally there is a pool, hot tub, workout room, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts on the grounds. Clients have a number of events they can attend during their stay. There are on-site workshops, BBQs and sober parties they are permitted to attend.

In Summary

Sober Living in Delray offers lovely housing and peaceful surroundings that are upscale and very comfortable. There is a structured schedule that clients have to adhere to in order to be successful here, and a very supportive staff who provides outside resources to all their residents. For those seeking a no-nonsense sober living facility in Delray Beach, this is a great choice.
