Accommodations and Amenities
Residents may choose between either a shared or single room with a twin bed, cabinet, dresser and bedside table. All rooms are divided by gender. The home has a fully equipped kitchen, a large living room and dining room; cable TV and WiFi are also available throughout the house.
SHI is also close to several parks, beaches and shopping malls. Transportation services are offered and a knowledgeable and experienced staff are always on hand. On-site security is also provided to ensure the safety of all clients and to give them peace of mind.
Rules and Regulations
In order to qualify for a bed at SHI, residents must be at least 18 years of age and have been sober for a minimum of seven days through a recognized detox program. Clients must demonstrate willingness to change their old addict behaviors and must commit to working, attending school or volunteering for a local charity to remain at the house. Although attending 12-step meetings and outpatient treatment programs are not mandatory, they are highly recommended. SHI also makes effort to connect clients with nearby meetings and facilities whenever necessary.

In addition to the cozy home environment and convenient location, SHI also connects clients with employment counseling, education counseling and future planning services for when the client have completed their transitional period of recovery are offered to those clients in need at SHI.
