Silvermist Review
Silvermist is a residential treatment center for individuals recovering from addiction. Nestled in the lush hills of Western Pennsylvania, Silvermist is comprised of three beautifully rustic buildings, which collectively accommodate 19 residents. The environment of Silvermist is very peaceful, and encourages reflection and an appreciation of the outdoors.
Accommodations and Food
Silvermist offers both private and shared rooms, both of which are cozy and artfully decorated. Most of the rooms have a TV, and some of them have unique features like a fireplace or a sitting nook. These personal touches give the rooms their own unique vibes, making all of Silvermist feel quite personable and homey.
Meals at Silvermist are prepared by resident chef Adam Lemieux, who designs his menus based on what is healthy, in season and local to the Pennsylvania area. Individuals with any type of dietary restriction, from vegan to halal, have their needs happily accommodated by Lemieux, who has extensively studied food preparation for those with religious and medical dietary restrictions.
Treatment and Staff
Silvermist focuses on holistic treatment plans that are catered to the individual needs and personalities of each client. Participation in a 12-step program is encouraged, and clients have access to transportation to and from meetings.
Clinicians engage in a number of therapeutic modalities with clients, including CBT via both group, and individual therapy. Meditation and journal time are also included in the daily schedule, as a way of encouraging clients to work toward mindfulness. Silvermist does offer treatment for dual diagnosis. Treatment at Silvermist is generally 30 days long.
The staff at Silvermist is comprised of several therapists, and clients enjoy an intimate one-to-four clinician-to-resident ratio.

Clients at Silvermist have access to a wide range of appealing amenities. The facility has a heated pool, private movie theater and on-site gym. Services like acupuncture and yoga are also available at no extra cost.
