The home also has a fully equipped commercial kitchen and an on-site chef who prepares three home-cooked meals daily. The menu includes hearty options like pasta, pizza and chicken. Life skill lessons on nutrition and cooking are provided. Every Saturday, residents take a trip to the grocery store where they can buy their own snacks.
Treatment and Staff
The treatment process begins with an assessment to determine where the individual fits on the continuum of care. If necessary, the on-site medical detox is supervised by a physician and a nurse. Typically, after about three to five days, clients who are stable move to the residential phase, which lasts 30 to 90 days, depending on the individual. Days are heavily structured and loaded with CBT-based groups, individual therapy, psychoeducation and recovery-oriented activities. Silver Rock Recovery emphasizes the 12-step philosophy of recovery and clients are transported offsite to AA meetings in the evenings.
The team at Silver Rock Recovery features a medical doctor, psychologists and Master’s-level clinicians with significant experience in addiction and mental health treatment. Medication management is available for those requiring dual diagnosis support. There are also fitness coaches, techs and a nutritionist on staff.
