Shephearst offers a comprehensive Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) that is tailored to the individual client’s specific needs. Treatment and Staff
The IOP at Shephearst Meadows can be ideal for clients that either cannot commit to a residential program or for those transitioning back into regular life that still require treatment. With flexible scheduling including morning and evening options, clients are able to receive therapy while remaining at home and continuing to work. Before entering the program, clients undergo a comprehensive assessment that includes mental health, family and substance use history as well as an examination of the severity of symptoms. The facility employs an integrative solution to programming that includes an array of therapeutic methods including evidence-based, holistic, nutrition and psychiatry. Clients in IOP engage in weekly psychiatric sessions and psychoeducation as well as individual and group therapy rooted in CBT, DBT, ACT and EMDR. Shephearst offers psychoeducational group lectures on an range of topics including addiction as a disease, cross addiction and character defect inventory. Clients seeking treatment for eating disorders participate in groups targeting body image issues, body image reframing and reimagining as well as nutrition therapy and meal support.
The Shephearst Meadows team is comprised of psychiatrists, therapists, counselors and a licensed dietitian. Medication management is a component of the programming for clients in need of dual diagnosis support.
