Though detox is not available on-site, those in need can get referrals to nearby programs. While the specifics of each program may differ, all residents attend full days of treatment which include individual and group therapy utilizing evidence-based practices including EMDR and CBT. Programming emphasizes 12-step participation, with residents expected to complete all 12 steps before leaving treatment. Dual diagnosis support and medication management services are also available. Other groups cover topics including addiction education, trigger identification, emotional processing and relapse prevention.
The staff at Serenity Springs Recovery consists of psychiatrists, MDs, physicians’ assistants, LMHCs, LCSWs and additional Master’s-level therapists, all with a two-to-one staff-to-client ratio.
Extras
Other services include holistic care methods such as acupuncture and yoga. Standalone psychological assessments and family therapy sessions are also available. The residential program is also supplemented by a regimen of amino acid therapy, a form of nutritional counseling designed to help clients rebuild important neurotransmitters. As mentioned, the program also provides outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for those seeking less intensive treatment or aftercare.
