The standard outpatient program is best for those who do not require detox services and who wish to maintain a somewhat regular work or school schedule. The program is individualized and may consist of individual therapy daily, weekly or several times a day depending on the severity of the client’s case.

The IOP is intended for those who have completed detox but still need a somewhat structured treatment program. Clients focus on discovering the psychological origins for their drug addiction and explore healthier methods of coping with these issues.

There are also specialized co-occurring disorders groups for those with a mental health concerns either fueling or caused by their drug use. These groups focus on addressing illness-related issues and behaviors and developing tools to cope without turning to drugs.

A typical day consists of one-on-one sessions during which clients work on their specific goals, group sessions, psychoeducation and life skills training. Medication management services are also available.

Depending on the client’s individual needs, the types of treatments implemented during the therapy sessions vary. Typical treatment methods include Motivational Interviewing (MI), CBT, DBT and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
