The Basics
Located in Lake Arrowhead, California, Serenity Lodge Lake Arrowhead is an expansive behavioral health organization that provides treatment to adult men struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. Treatment and Staff

Though medication may be administered to help with withdrawal symptoms, this phase is not considered a medical detox—clients in need of full hospitalization will be referred out to a third-party facility before continuing on to treatment. The IOP consists of a minimum three days a week of therapy, meeting for three hours at a time, generally with less medical oversight.
While each plan may vary somewhat, each includes individual and group therapy rooted in evidence-based practices, such as CBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). The program also includes 12-step participation and dual diagnosis support with medication management as necessary. Group topics include grief and loss counseling, art therapy and relapse prevention techniques.
The staff at Serenity Lodge Lake Arrowhead consists of CADCs, case managers, physicians, nurses and additional Master’s-level clinicians.
Extras
Aside from the outpatient programs, the facility offers a residential treatment track that can last anywhere from 30 to 90 days. Clients who complete any of the above primary care programs can also attend an informal aftercare track consisting of alumni meetings and long-term recovery planning sessions. Standalone family therapy services are available as well.
