Seaside Treatment Center Review
The Seaside Treatment Center of Lake Worth Florida, is a family-run business that began providing a full continuum of co-ed substance abuse treatment for adults in 2016. Located just a few miles from Palm Beach, Seaside’s most intensive level of care is a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) where clients live in well-accommodated sober living homes near the beach. Seaside also has an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and a basic outpatient program. The facility primarily follows the 12-step modality and further able to help set up detox for clients who need it.
Accommodations and Food
Seaside Treatment Center separates its clients into separate seaside, male and female treatment houses. Clients are transported to a separate treatment center for their therapy sessions and meetings. Usually Seaside Treatment Center clients have one roommate. There are some single bedrooms, occupancy of which rotates based on client seniority.
During a PHP stay, everything not directly related to treatment, including meals, is taken care of for clients so that they may completely to concentrate on recovery. Three catered meals a day are provided and dietary restrictions can be accommodated.
Treatment and Staff
Clients take part in individual, family and group therapy throughout their time in treatment, the frequency and duration of which are determined at an initial evaluation where an individualized treatment plan is developed. Typically, the Seaside Treatment Center PHP lasts between two to three weeks. Treatment times are from nine am to three pm, Mondays through Fridays, with on-site AA/NA meetings taking place every night. Modalities include CBT, MET, EMDR, art and music therapy. Those in need of detox are provided medical care and supervision on-site at the sober house. Dual diagnosis support is available to those with co-occurring disorders.
The Seaside Treatment Center IOP meets three times a week between five and eight pm. Housing is actually still included in the IOP program as is assistance so that clients may find a job as to transition back to the outside world. Psychiatric support continues while clients have access to a clinical program for any specific therapeutic needs and go on with their life-skills training.
Seaside staff includes a medical director, a psychologist and a LPN. Trained CADC facilitators come in to run group sessions.
Extras
Being close to the beach, many activities take place outdoors. Seaside Treatment Center residential grounds include a basketball and a tennis court as well as a pool. Massage, yoga, life-skills training, spiritual counseling, chiropractic care and legal assistance services are all also available.
Seaside works with clients on aftercare planning. Admissions staff are happy to help out-of-state clients with booking their plane tickets and arrange transportation to and from the airport.
In Summary
A brand new facility, Seaside Treatment Center’s services are fairly well-rounded for a place that is careful to make the distinction that it does not offer full-out residential treatment. However, the PHP and IOP options along with sober living homes that are available offer a comparable level of treatment. For those who are seeking a safe and structured treatment facility in a lovely tropical location, this is an affordable choice.
