Treatment and Staff
Treatment at San Bernardino Center for Change is generally limited to court-ordered clients who have been referred to treatment by the judicial system. After an initial intake and assessment, clients begin an individualized treatment plan that includes individual and group therapy with an emphasis on developing life skills. Groups cover topics like relapse prevention, socialization, family education and early intervention. Clients may also be required to attend 12-step meetings depending on their court orders. Additionally, support for co-occurring disorders is available for those with dual diagnosis. Extensive case management services are also offered to help clients with mental health issues, education and employment.
Staff consists of CATCs, psychologists, LMFTs and Master’s-level therapists.
Extras
San Bernardino Center for Change works with other local agencies to provide on-site HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C education, screening and referral services as needed. Spanish language services are also available.
