Royal Life Centers in Prescott offers both detox and residential services on the same campus, that all together can accommodate 100 clients. There are semi-private bedrooms offered during detox, that are simply furnished with twin beds and dresser. An added bonus is that every bedroom has a mounted flat screen TV that connects to cable.
The colorful and inviting facility has several spacious common areas that offer an array of activities. The living room space has a comfortable couch situated in front of an additional flatscreen, with a video game console, board games, magazines and books.
Clients dine together in the shared dining room for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The on-site chef creates fresh and nutritious meals and can accommodate specific dietary restrictions. There are also fresh snacks and beverages available around the clock.
Treatment and Staff
Upon arrival clients are assigned a primary therapist, and have a thorough medical and psychological assessment. Each client’s customized treatment plan incorporates the appropriate group therapy and activities.
Clients have several group sessions every day. Groups focus on topics like self care, relapse prevention, navigating difficult emotions and how to identify triggers. In addition to “traditional” group sessions, clients participate in several holistic and experiential groups. This includes adventure therapy, art and music therapy, equine therapy, movement therapy, yoga, and a ropes course.
Throughout treatment, clients meet with their therapist for individual therapy frequently, and plan the next phase in treatment. Clients complete written and journaling assignments during their stay. Therapeutic approaches include CBT and behavioral modification. There is also an emphasis on learning stress management techniques and setting personal goals.
Royal Life Detox employs Master’s-level addiction therapists, medical doctors and nurses, LMFTs, and LPCs.
