There are three bathrooms and accommodations are spacious with twin beds, small dressers and shared storage spaces. The home has a large dining room and kitchen, as well as living rooms that include TVs and ample backyard space. The residence is on a quiet, tree-lined street in a residential neighborhood that is close to shops and grocery stores, in addition to public transit.
This facility offers recreational outings and activities within the treatment structure, in addition to nutritional counseling. Clients are encouraged to participate in group exercises and are given the option to join the local gym so they can work out on allotted days. Employment and vocational training is available, including learning how to have successful job interviews and how to volunteer within the community.
Food is provided and prepared on site by the residential staff. Meals are come from a pre-prepared menu, though accommodations for food allergies can be made.
Treatment and Staff
The structured programming allows clients to focus completely on their recovery by providing a home-like atmosphere for treatment. Every client has an individualized treatment plan; therefore the length of stay can vary but typically range from 30 to 90 days. Client begins with an intensified level of treatment, which requires a period where phone calls aren’t permitted. Once acclimated to the daily treatment schedule and routine, certain allowances are made.
There are daily group sessions, psychoeducational lectures and classes, in addiction to regular individual sessions where the emphasis is on relapse prevention techniques and CBT. The facility also conducts three drug screenings a week. Therapists check in regularly with clients to make sure they are progressing in their recovery and on track with treatment goals. For clients with a dual diagnosis, a psychiatrist evaluation takes place during the intake process and medication management is available if needed. For clients battling opiate addiction, MAT via Suboxone is also an option. Robert J Wilson does not use 12-step principles as part of treatment.
Frequent employment and educational services are offered in addition to help with transitioning into sober living after treatment is complete.
Family counseling and aftercare planning programs are also available.
