The Basics
River Bend Christian Counseling (RBCC) was founded in 2005 by a Dr. Randy Doyle, a fully certified psychiatrist in Moline, Illinois. The organization offers faith-based outpatient treatment to adult men and women.
Treatment and Staff
The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) uses individual and group therapy, both of which employ CBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI), relapse prevention techniques, addiction education and sharing. Dr. Dolye also facilitates EDMR and Gestalt techniques.
Although the exact length and intensity of the program varies from client to client, most participate in three group meetings and one individual session a week. Groups generally meet from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Additional individual sessions are scheduled based on the needs of the client. RBCC is equipped to treat clients with a dual diagnosis and offers additional individual sessions with a mental health counselor.
The organization promotes 12-step recovery and strongly suggests clients attend outside AA and NA meetings. RBCC also incorporates Christian faith-based principles into treatment.
The substance abuse treatment is handled by both Dr. Doyle as well as two other licensed counselors.
Extras
RBCC offers a family program with group and individual meetings that include the client and his or her family members. Sessions address chemical dependency and substance abuse education. Couples counseling is also available.
The organization offers ambulatory detox services by way of vivitrol injections and buprenorphine services. RBCC also offers DUI evaluation and risk education services.
