Rise Again Recovery Review
Rise Again Recovery is a Christian centered rehab located in Huntington Beach, California. Offerings include the option for a social, non-medical detox as well as a medication assisted detox. The residential program uses the 12 steps and holistic approaches to complement a God centered approach to sobriety. Clients can receive several levels of care at Rise Again Recovery while learning new life and coping skills.
Accommodations and Food
Clients in the residential program live in a one story home in a quiet neighborhood in Huntington Beach. The facility is close to shops, grocery stores and public transportation. The client share bedrooms and sleep in their own twin beds. Common areas include the living room, dining room and kitchen. There is also a fairly spacious backyard with an outdoor dining area with covered patio.
All meals are included during the clients stay and prepared on site.
Treatment and Staff
Rise Again Recovery offers a 30 day residential stay. Treatment is broken down into steps. It begins with the surrender stage where clients maintain their abstinence from drugs and alcohol, and start to create a healthy structure while learning how to live in recovery. Next clients begin to identify their motivation to make a big life change and become sober long term; garner self love and acceptance; and learn about relapse prevention. The next three levels include anger and emotional management; family systems and social skills; education and vocational goals, and goal structured empowerment. Each step of this program is guided by Bible passages and spirituality.
Along with AA meetings there are a number of evidence-based treatment approaches used such as Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), CBT and DBT. Clients have to submit weekly drug screenings and breathalyzers that are presented randomly.
There are several group sessions each week that address empowerment recovery, grief and loss, trauma, codependency and psychoeducation. In addition, clients receive a psychiatric evaluation upon admission and have frequent appointments for medicaid management if needed.
The staff of Rise Again Recovery are a mix of people who have been through the program themselves and LADCs.
