The Basics
Louisville, Kentucky’s Revelation Counseling Center is headed up by lead therapist LaShonda Fletcher, an LMFT who was recently voted Best Marriage Counselor in Louisville. Revelation Counseling Center offers services to adolescents and adults as well as couples. Fletcher facilitates both religious and non-spiritual based counseling aligned with court ordered services for clients who need to stay compliant due to an infraction. Treatment and Staff
Individuals who come into Revelation are treated for a variety of concerns that include depression, anxiety, grief and loss or an upcoming life change. Younger clients can be treated for self harm, school performance issues, self esteem and more. Family services are geared towards those who are going through a divorce, are blending families or are having financial troubles. For the most part, these services are received in a one on one setting. Couples who are coming into Revelation can be seen for issues within the already existing marriage, or for pre-marital counseling. Fletcher has a background as a pastor, and is open to offering counseling that has Biblical components to it, or counseling that is non-religious. Pre-marital sessions generally run between six and eight weeks, while other services are individualized.
Clients work on things like communication, trust, setting healthy boundaries and intimacy issues. Court ordered services consist of a four hour marijuana class, anger management group and individual sessions, and court referred parenting assessments, via group and individual classes.
Fletcher is not only a Master’s-level therapist but also a state certified DUI program provider, is certified in meditation and has had specialty training in premarital counseling from The Gottman Institute.
