The Basics
Reflections Recovery is a substance abuse treatment facility for men and women located in Costa Mesa, California. Reflections was originally established in 2011 and offers several outpatient options. These include structured housing at local sober living homes, as well as an individualized Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) that offers the option to step down into an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
Treatment and Staff
The programs offered at this facility are individualized and structured, offering a well-rounded schedule of therapy and off-site AA or NA meetings. Treatment operates on a phase system. PHP is the first phase, which is six hours a day, five days a week, of programming that includes multiple group sessions a day, at least one individual session per week. Peer support meetings are offered in the evenings. After a period of about 30 days, clients can transition to the IOP. This program typically meets three to five times a week for three hours a day of group therapy. The IOP usually lasts about four to five weeks each, though since the program is so individualized that amount of time can vary.
The treatments are designed to support the clients specific needs and meet them where they are in their addiction. Therapy methods include psychoeducation, CBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and holistic approaches like meditation and yoga therapy. An introduction to the 12-step philosophy is also incorporated. There are also groups that are specifically dedicated to clients with co-occurring disorders that can include any medication management services if needed.
The staff of Reflections is made up of a multidisciplinary team of clinicians who bring many years of experience to their clients. Accreditations include LPC, CADC and LCSW.
Extras
The sober living option offers clients accommodations in a local home that can accommodate up to six clients. Private bedrooms are available, with gender-specific bathrooms that connect between every two rooms. The spacious facility includes living rooms, a dining room and kitchen. All food is provided during the initial stages and is prepared on site by a private chef.
During the first phase of treatment the clients mainly stay in structured living, however they do have times when they can head to the beach, head to the local gym or participate in yoga classes.
Reflections offers aftercare and an alumni program with monthly meetings. There is also a three-day, intensive family program offered at the facility that includes group therapy and classes.
