Reflections Recovery Center is a substance abuse treatment facility for young men, aged 18 to 35, in Prescott, Arizona. It offers medically-supervised detox, a 30-day residential program and outpatient care. With a special emphasis on holistic methods, nutrition and outdoor activities, Reflections welcomes men seeking recovery from addiction and co-occurring disorders in a naturally beautiful location.

Accommodations and Food

The home-like facility accommodates up to 30 men. All bedrooms are shared, with two or three clients to a room. Linens, bedding, toiletry items and cleaning supplies are all provided. Clients are allowed to bring appropriate clothing for the season, personal toiletries, non-Wi-Fi devices (such as CD players or classic iPods), cameras and small decorative items to make the lodgings feel more like home.

There are large common areas. These spaces are designed to hold residential meetings of up to 12 people. There’s also a private study for quiet, personal reflection. The living rooms are cozy, spacious, and are furnished with comfortable furniture and entertainment systems. The kitchen is well-equipped with updated appliances. Three meals a day are served family-style, with an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients and proper nutrition.

Treatment and Staff

Detox is a five-day program at the clinical facility, with medical and non-medical options available. If the client appears to need more time due to ongoing withdrawal symptoms, necessary accommodations can be made. New clients are not directed to the detox program until after undergoing an initial psychiatric evaluation. After completing this phase, clients move to the residential house and begin primary care.

The programs offered at Reflections are individualized and structured, offering a well-rounded schedule of therapy and activities. Programming includes multiple group sessions a day and at least one individual session a week. Peer support meetings are offered in the evenings. After a period of about 30 days, clients can transition to the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), which typically meets two or three days a week for three hours of group therapy. The IOP usually lasts four to five weeks, though since the program is so individualized that amount of time can vary.

Treatment is designed to support the clients specific needs and can include psychoeducationCBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and holistic approaches like meditation and yoga. An introduction to the 12-step philosophy is also incorporated. There are also groups specifically dedicated to clients with co-occurring disorders that can include any medication management services if needed.

The staff is made up of a multidisciplinary team that includes LPCs, CADCs and LCSWs.

Extras

Reflections offers aftercare and an alumni program with monthly meetings. There are also opportunities for off-site equine therapy, yoga and Reiki. There is a substantial amount of time each week set aside for extracurricular activities hiking, swimming, softball, BMXing, skateboarding and bonfires.

In Summary

Reflections offers private, structured care in one of the most beautiful locations in the southwest. In an area known for its tranquility, clients can recover in the peace of nature. The program provides client-focused treatment and is a great choice for young men looking for a healthy recovery community that encourages outdoor activities and holistic healing.
